Not that much is known about Dre’es, which adds to his mystique. Born Andre’es de la Pena, he grew up in Wilmington, California. Dre’es is signed to Futile Sounds which he founded, leading him to collaborate with artists such as Asiatica, Mia and Pontiac.
The first single Dre’es released was in 2017 and since then, he has gone on to reach over 7 million streams and opened up for artist such as DRAM, Boogie, Denzel Curry, Bj the Chicago Kid, and Ghost Face Killa. His songs are wavy, yet he still maintains an amazing ability to turn it up and tear into a verse. Dre’es is not only different, but also exciting earning him over 220,000 monthly Spotify listeners.
It is clear that Dre’es is influenced by sound pioneers like Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller and Tyler, the Creator.
