Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers’ backs are against the wall. During Game 2, Lillard’s body was pressed on the floor, causing a separated rib that has been revealed to be plaguing the superstar point guard.
Shams Charania of The Athletic detailed the injury on Twitter early Sunday morning. The details came less than 24 hours after the defending champion Golden State Warriors placed the Blazers in a 0-3 hole. The Warriors will look to keep the Blazers at home and head back to Oakland with a Game 4 win that will ship them to the Western Conference Finals on Monday (May 20).

For the series, Lillard is only shooting 32.6 percent after blazing through the Oklahoma City Thunder and teaming with C.J. McCollum to ditch the Denver Nuggets in the second round.
If the Blazers win tonight, they will have the tall task of winning three more games to reach the NBA Finals. Doing that would mean cooling down an insanely hot Steph Curry.
