Ione Williams aka Blac Papi grew up in Phily. His father was in and out of his life, so he was left to be raised by a single mother. In 2017 he dropped his debut project “Twelve” on music platforms SoundCloudand later Apple Music. The project started simmering on the internet, landing him and interview with major Philly blog, Hip Hop Since 1978. He stated then, that “his goal was for his music was to uplift and motivate people”. Williams eventually assembled a team and jumped on The Program Tour as an opening act for Cam’ron. After the tour the performance didn’t stop, opening up and sharing stages with major musical artist like 21 Savage, Young Jeezy, Trina & 2 Chainz. Blac Papi is gearing up to release his next project, Draggin Season, this summer 2019.
