Rodney Hood suffered a torn Achilles tendon in Friday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Hood went down with the non-contact injury in the second quarter after landing somewhat awkwardly during a sequence. The Blazers Forward’s injury was confirmed after an overnight MRI.
The former Duke Blue Devil signed a 2-year $16 million deal with the Blazers this past June. Now he will be dealing with the same injury as Kevin Durant, an injury that is keeping KD off the court for the entire 2019-2020 season.
Teammates and players around the league sent prayers and well wishes to the young veteran.
