The biggest theme in Louis Vuitton’s FW19 presentation in Paris wasn’t exactly a colorway or a subject, but mainly centered around a person: the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. As Virgil is both the creative director behind LV’s mens division and his own imprint, it only made sense that his love for MJ would trickle down into some of the new OFF-WHITE™ pieces for the SS19 season.

Featuring a vibrant neon green hoodie and two T-shirts — one in a matching hue, the other all-white — this capsule offering incorporates a “burned in” graphic print of Michael Jackson in all his stage-rocking glory. Although the image is blurry in appearance, it’s quite clear to see that it’s inspired by the image of him performing at the Meadowlands Arena during the ‘Bad Tour’ in East Rutherford, New Jersey on October 3, 1988.

On the back, the words “ILLUSIONIST” is etched in classic quotation-style graphic, followed by a full script that denotes manufacturing details and other information that’s purpose is to look cool rather than give you details that you don’t necessarily care about. In addition to zip detailing and minor tabs on the collar, the pieces offer a simple style while also showing off Virgil’s innovative flex for forward-thinking tailoring.

Pick up the MJ-themed OFF-WHITE™ SS19 pieces seen here right now online, with the hoodie going for $975 USD and the T-Shirts priced at $290 USD.
