Hovito has decided to come to the aid of 21 Savage.
According to confirmed reports, the Hip-Hop mogul has hired high-profile attorney Alex Spiro to defend the rapper, whose recent immigration issues could leave him deported to the UK indefinitely.
Savage, whose real name is Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was arrested by ICE agents on Super Bowl Sunday in Atlanta after it was reported that the “Bank Account” rapper had overstayed his Visa. 21 Savage came into the country with his mother when he was seven, but his expired Visa expired back in 2006. It was also revealed that Bin-Abraham-Joseph was born in Newham, London instead of the British island of Dominica as it was previously reported.
“We are not going to stop until he is released, bonded out or in front of a judge … What we have here is someone who overstayed their Visa with an application pending for 4 years – not a convicted criminal that needs to be detained and removed but, by all accounts a wonderful person, father, and entertainer who has a marijuana offense which was vacated and sealed,” said Savage’s attorney.
