Back in June of 2018, there was a shooting targeted at Chief Keef, which occurred after a social media back and forth between him, associates close to Keef and Tekashi 6ix9ine. Three men were charged with the shooting and now 6ix9ine admits he offered $20,000 for the shooting.
Complex shared the details of the confession stated in official court documents. 6ix9ine offered Kintea “Kooda B” McKenzie the sum of money to carry out the shooting and was stated to settle to do the job for $10,000 less. He was paid by 6ix9ine himself, who was accompanied by his former manager Shotti.
In January, it was detailed Sosa named Kooda in the shooting, resulting in his February 8 arrest. Kooda is now facing a life sentence, with a minimum of ten years and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of a racketeering conspiracy.
At the beginning of the month, the “GUMMO” rapper plead guilty to nine counts of weapons and drug charges. Additional men named by Tekashi 6ix9ine in the attempted shooting of Chief Keef include Anthony Ellison and Denard Butler, who were already in custody.
At the end of January, federal authorities revealed that Tekashi was cooperating with the investigation and was facing a minimum of 32 years.
