Another sad tragedy where a Black man is shot and killed by the police.
Aspiring rapper Willie Bo was killed after six officers in Northern California opened fire on Bo’s silver Mercedes Benz in a Taco Bell drive-thru.
The police were called by the Taco Bell employees, who saw an unidentified man “slumped over” in a silver car in the drive-thru. Reports say that Bo had a handgun in his lap and was unresponsive when the police tried to wake him up.
According to the reports, the 20-year old Californian made a sudden move, which made the police think he was reaching for the weapon on his lap.
“The driver began to suddenly move and looked at the uniformed patrol officers,” police said in a statement. “Officers gave the driver several commands to put his hands up. The driver did not comply and instead moved his hands downward toward the firearm.”
