CNN reports the discovery of a new video that shows R. Kelly having sex with an underage girl. Lawyer Michael Avenatti has detailed the tape was handed to the Cook County’s State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago this past weekend.
Avenatti is the legal representation for a man who is referred to as a “whistleblower” against the R&B singer. CNN details to have viewed the VHS tape, which has a girl detailing that her body parts are 14 years of age.
“Approximately ten months ago, in April 2018, my office was retained by multiple clients in connection with allegations of sexual assault of minors by music artist Robert Kelly (R. Kelly),” a statement from Avenatti opens.
The statement would go on to detail, “Included in the evidence we recently uncovered and recovered is a VHS videotape of Mr. Kelly engaging in multiple sexual assaults of a girl underage. The tape, which is clear, is approximately 45-minutes in length and has never been previously been publicly disclosed or, until recently, provided to law enforcement.”
In response to CNN, Steve Greenberg, attorney for Kelly has stated neither he nor his client have heard of the additional tape.
“We are unaware of any new information involving Mr. Kelly. We have not been contacted by anyone. We have not been informed about any new information by anyone and we have not been contacted by law enforcement.”
A request for comment from the State’s Attorney’s Office did not yield any confirmation or denials. You can read the entire statement on the new tape from Avenatti below.

CNN states in the tape take place in two locations, a living room and a basement. R. Kelly is stated to be seen performing sexual acts on the girl and being called “daddy.” The girl in the video is stated to be 14-years-old by both R. Kelly and another man multiple times. The video also includes footage of the girl being urinated on by the man that was not R. Kelly.
Earlier this week, R. Kelly was in the center of more controversy after a CBS news crew from Atlanta allegedly spotted the singer leaving his studio in Chicago at hours he was not supposed to be in the location. The crew also stated a member of Kelly’s entourage stole the key fob to their rental car before speeding away from the scene.
