The reggae icon took the stage at Kingston’s National Stadium on Saturday and the first show of the Long Walk to Freedom Tour was one for the books. The stadium is listed to have a 35,000 capacity and there was an estimated 40,000 attendees.

Fans from all over the world flew to Jamaica to watch Buju walk and talk like a champion. He performed classic hit singles like “Driver”, “Batty Rider”, “Champion” and the list goes on.

The 2-hour performance was nothing short of legendary. Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffiths, Wayne Wonder, Stefflon Don, and many more artists joined Buju Banton for his big night.

Anticipation for this concert has been building ever since his released was announced on the Love and Harmony cruise last year. It has certainly been a long walk and following an eight-year absence due to criminal conviction, Buju Banton is still the champion.
