The Hip-Hop community is well aware of the struggles that Meek Mill endures due to the confines of his probation and authorizations required for travel. The Championships rapper’s travel request is to be granted by his case’s president judge, Genece Brinkley, who allegedly intentionally mishandled an approval by a deadline.

Rubin states Brinkley knew Meek needed his approval to travel to Dubai for a performance by March 15, however, she did not return the approved request until March 19, allowing a travel window of April 3-7. Ultimately, Meek had to miss the booking and not collect on a hefty sum of $450,000.

Brinkley also allegedly denied a request for Meek to travel with the Sixers to Toronto to support their playoff duel with the Raptors. Rubin called out the judge on Instagram:

“Judge Genece Brinkley – I know you have a vendetta against Meek Mill and are obsessed with trying to control every aspect of his life, but did you really NOT approve him to go to rep the Sixers in Toronto for the game?”

Drake also showed support for Meek’s travel troubles stating: “They gotta let Meek into the city it’s only right … we got a classic series on our hands.”

Meek Mill was on hand when the Sixers returned for two games in Philly and also recently celebrated his 32nd birthday.
