We’ve seen the trailers, previewed the soundtrack tracklist and even witnessed the film breaking records for advanced ticket sales already. The imagery is clean, simple and done in a classic “school photo” headshot style. Each actor looks ahead at the character from the film they’ll be voicing, some with a jovial glare, others with a stern stare but overall they all just look ready for what’s gearing up to be one of the biggest theatrical releases of 2019, possibly of all time. Notably missing is James Earl Jones, who plays Mufasa and is the sole returning actor from the 1994 original animated film. Missed photo day? Being revealed later? Time will tell, but we’re sure most of you are still too busy staring at Beyoncé as Nala (seen above) to have even noticed. Either way, these only make us extra hyped to see the film when it arrives in theaters on July 19.
