Woolrich has been doing some dope collabs with some of our favorite people & brands lately, ranging from Aimé Leon Dore all the way to Lauryn Hill. Of course, the brand has no problem handling style duties solo, which is clear to see throughout the new FW19 menswear collection.



Keeping up with the same workwear aesthetic that’s been a staple since 1830, the new offerings are built for all types of cold-weather outdoor activities. Another key theme that makes for the core style of the set is the use of buffalo plaid, a material ironically used to represent the signature Woolrich square logo as well. The print can be seen in various forms, from heavy duty shirts and headwear to the super warm puff coats and on the inner lining of a quilted jacket. The clothes in particular are tailored by using a variety of sturdy fabrics, including Cordura, TETON Sports, Loro Piana and the ever-trusted GORE-TEX. As anyone who lives in an area that gets cold during the winter season knows, that whole combo sounds like the perfect mix of bundle-approved gear when it starts really getting brick outside.

As Hip-Hop fans are currently enjoying the Yams Day 2019 festivities at Barclay Center, New Era is making sure anyone in attendance is laced with proper headwear to truly pay tribute on the 4th anniversary of the founding A$AP Mob member’s tragic loss.



Based off what we can see on the ‘Gram (as seen on the @HOT97 IG seen above), it’s looking like a fun-filled zoo in there! For those attending, New Era came up with two Yams-themed hats specifically designed in his memory, including a black 9TWENTY dad hat and the teal 9FIFTY snapback seen above. Similar to the merch collection we saw a few days ago that will also be on deck to cop, all proceeds from the sale of these items will go directly to the Always Strive and Prosper Foundation that will benefit charity organizations in honor of A$AP Yams’ memory. It’s great to see he’ll never be forgotten, whether it be through song or style.

The New Era Yams Day 2019 Collection will be available exclusively during the Barclays Center Yams Day show, followed by an online drop for those that couldn’t attend. R.I.P. Yams!

Recreating the closing scene from the “Billie Jean” music video, complete with a lamppost-lit street corner prop and faux Manhattan skyline, Virgil Abloh turned the Louis Vuitton FW19 presentation for Paris Fashion Week Men’s earlier today (Jan 17) into a full-out fashion tribute to Michael Jackson. Fittingly enough, the King Of Pop made for the perfect style muse, and the show itself brought in a star-studded audience that was seen from the front row all the way to the runway.



There was a lot going on during the highly-anticipated runway show, which created buzz not too long ago after Abloh mentioned in his Dec ’18 Interview Magazine feature alongside Young Thug that his next fashion venture would be inspired by MJ. What was believed to be simply “capsule-sized” — Tees, hoodies and maybe even a line of sparkly gloves was the original hypothesis — ended up being a full range of ready-to-wear pieces that are the center of LV’s Fall/Winter 2019 campaign.



The color theme saw a variety of hues, starting with royal purple, vibrant red and even a few metallic silver pieces, all the way to more monotone grey and black tones. The additional pops of color came in the form of pieces sewn together by way of a multi-flag motif, and through an extension on the Wizard of Oz theme seen in the SS19 show, this time utilizing graphics based on the 1978 African American-themed remake The Wiz that famously starred Michael Jackson as Scarecrow.

In addition to a collection of GORE-TEX gear, Stüssy is also preparing for the release a new wave of gear being called, well, the “New Wave Gear” collection. Sometimes it’s best to just keep it simple that way.



The surf-inspired capsule delivers on the washed-out aesthetic and retro motifs, seen on a handful of tees, crewnecks, zip-up fleece and hoodies. Streetwear collections these days arenn’t complete without even the tiniest bit of camo, and this set gives us a whole ‘fit that utilizes a more classic print for the fellas and a more vibrant floral-based variation for the ladies to enjoy. Vintage “Stüssy International Corporation” branding is included for proper logo placement, giving the collection in its entirely a very nostalgic feel. Good thing throwback is the wave that everyone’s riding right about now.

It’s quite apparent that the women of today are taking a stance across all platforms — standing up for equality, pushing back against abuse in any capacity and taking the leadership role in male-dominated areas have all become societal norms for the ladies. We see this strength especially within the entertainment industry, particularly in times like the #MeToo movement that’s taken over Hollywood and the fight to #MuteRKelly that’s recently transcended into the music industry. Louis Vuitton taps women from both respective industries for its latest Pre-Fall 2019 campaign, and the fresh faces featured range from a leading lady on HBO and Oscar-nominated starlets all the way to a new age R&B sensation and even the new Tomb Raider.



Print-heavy pieces, billowing layers and a range of cut-and-sew apparel that feature cross-pattern construction are some of the highlights in this set. The Converse Chuck 70 has easily become a fan-favorite, especially based off the past iterations we’ve seen in collaboration with OFF-WHITE™, Fear Of God and Carhartt WIP amongst others. However, we’ve never seen a brand tackle the classic silhouette with the boldness and overall willingness to “go there” quite like this new iteration by way of lifestyle imprint Perks and Mini.



The brand, known simply as P.A.M. to its loyal consumers for almost two decades, was founded by designing duo Misha Hollenbach and Shauna Toohey. In the time since, they’ve established the brand as one of the prime influencers when it comes to streetwear spanning from overseas all the way to here in the states. The “Mutation” version of the Chuck 70 seen here is constructed with a full outer shroud — think of it like a coat for your kicks. The PrimaLoft fabrication provides thermal protection to the inner canvas upper, and can be zipped and unzipped for a variety of ways to rock if you can truly pull these off. Actually, the navy blue colorway might be the only basic thing about these, which offers a balance between everyday footwear and a style that’s daring enough without crossing the line of being labeled as kitsch.

In addition to a Chuck 70, the P.A.M. x Converse “Mutation” capsule collection will also include apparel in the form of T-Shirts, a bomber jacket with matching quilted effect, tracksuits and hoodies to round things out. After an impressive FW18 rollout last season, and even a toasty collab with BEAUTY & YOUTH released not too long ago, The North Face PURPLE LABEL is ready to tackle the Spring/Summer 2019 season. The options this time around seem to be almost doubled, which is definitely a good thing given the massive variety of dope gear available in this offering.



No corner is left untouched when it comes to the streetwear essentials included in this set, ranging from oversized denim outwear and various carryalls to a wide collection of headwear, T-shirts and PURPLE-branded bandanas. There are a few experimental cuts as well included in the mix, like a calf-long T-Shirt for the ladies that’s probably more suitable as a dress, or the denim patchwork pieces that work for both men and women. The unisex vibe carries throughout the collection as a whole, which has definitely been a ongoing trend in Japanese streetwear fashion as of late. Definitely a good look in the step towards a more inclusive shopping experience.

After cooking up some ready-to-wear steez with the estate of Andy Warhol last summer, both with apparel and underwear alike, Calvin Klein is at it again with another collaborative collection that incorporates some of the deceased art tycoon’s rarest imagery.



The “LANDSCAPES” capsule collection showcases photos that Warhol took in Aspen, Colorado, said to be taken sometime during the 1980s while documenting his stay in the snowy setting in close to 30 diary entries. The photographs of icy mountains and the wildlife able bear the breeze are plastered on the set of pants, tees, crewnecks, hoodies and skirts for the HERSource fam. Also included are a few pieces that simply state Warhol (as with the bomber jacket seen above), proving that his name alone can draw in the fashion elite who’ve praised his works of art for the past three decades since his passing in 1987.

Rap fans won’t soon forget the memory of A$AP Mob founder Steven Rodriguez, respectfully known by his official a.k.a. A$AP Yams, especially now that Yams Day has become a sort of cultural event amongst the new age of loyal Hip-Hop listeners. For 2019, not only is his annual celebration of life back in NYC, but the show will also be accompanied by a handful of merch drops in collaboration with a few major players in the streetwear community.



The first label that will surely gain fanfare is the Champion hoodie and sweatpants set designed by Virgil Abloh’s OFF-WHITE™. Further collabs come in the form of other respectable brands, including Cactus Plant Flea Market, plus additional tribute merch in memory of rapper Fredo Santana who passed away from a fatal seizure one year ago this week (Jan 19). The Mob shows respective love for their fallen brother as well, with A$AP Illz and A$AP Twelvyy both creating collaborative pieces with their brands Disco Inferno and LYBB, respectively. In addition to dropping a gold BAPEX watch tomorrow, A Bathing Ape is also gearing up to release new apparel in collaboration with mastermind JAPAN that’s also scheduled to hit shelves this weekend.



As with most BAPE collabs, this capsule delivers on the mainstays when it comes to streetwear: long-sleeve shirts, tees, hoodies, headwear and the brand’s signature face masks. Another familiar add-on is in the co-branding seen throughout, which mixes mastermind’s Skull logo with the Shark and Ape Head motifs synonymous with BAPE. The latter brand’s signature camouflage print is also included as well, making for a simple collab that gives streetwear fiends even more swag for the new season.

The BAPE x mastermind JAPAN Spring/Summer 2019 Collection will arrive exclusively through the A Bathing Ape and mastermind concept store in Japan starting tomorrow (January 12), but it should hit the resell market soon after for those looking to cop stateside. After seeing Chinese New Year-themed footwear from the likes of Nike and adidas, it looks like Gucci is also dropping its own capsule collection to celebrate the Year of the Pig by recruiting the perfect little mascots. Three to be exact.



The 19-piece offering is highlighted by motifs of Disney’s Three Little Pigs, which come in the form of embroidered patches on a series of carry-alls, sweaters and even the brand’s signature Ace sneaker for men and women. The rest of the set is filled with other various ready-to-wear gems, including a T-Shirt, polo, watch, and crewneck. A non-Disney-related piglet graphic is incorporated as well into the knitwear offerings, which include a wool cardigan, hat, scarf, oversized tee and socks. Real-life piggly wigglys not included, unfortunately.

As if the collaboration with Nike that dropped today wasn’t enough, Cav Empt is delivering yet another capsule collection for the Spring/Summer 2019 season.



Spearheaded once again by brand founders Sk8thing and Toby Feltwell, the latest offering by C.E. is filled with future-inspired prints as seen etched over a series of streetwear staples. From a set of fresh outwear, including the standout Suede Down Jacket, to hoodies, sweaters, pants and headwear, this is one range of apparel that you can dress yourself in from head to toe. There’s even a set of socks thrown in for added measure and a “Word Search” Light Bag (seen above) to hold things down on the accessories side. This is definitely what you’d call a well-rounded streetwear hookup.

Even though we’re still in the trenches of winter, adidas is already thinking ahead with a Caribbean state of mind when it comes to the colorway for its latest Yung-96 sneaker release.



With custom colors like “Bold Gold,” “Solar Red” and “Grey One” to balanced out the black, white and hunter green accents, this silhouette is just one big mixing pot of eclectic hues. Mesh and suede are the key materials found on the upper, which is color-blocked to perfection & includes classic adidas Trefoil branding on the tongue, heel and via the signature Three Stripes in place on the side panel. While these won’t make you physically feel any warmer, the heat you’re rocking will surely generate a few head turns at least.

Expect this multicolored adidas Yung-96 model to drop next month at select locations, like Germany-based retailer asphaltgold. More pics below:

Everyone in the sneaker community is celebrating the Chinese New Year from a different perspective, from Pharrell’s adidas BYW collab to Nike’s special iteration of the Air Max 95. However, whether intentional or not, the Swoosh also has a pair of Air Max 97s arriving soon inspired by one of, if not the biggest mascot in Chinese culture: the panda.



The core black & white colorway is balanced out throughout with an almost vortex-like swirl pattern. Of course, that’s mainly due to the shoe’s circular construction and textured upper that gives it even more dimension. The leather mudguard is a nice way to switch up the otherwise fully-textile/mesh build, and where the two colorways were placed in conjunction to one another proves that the Nike designers over in Oregon are definitely doing things right over at the headquarters. It might be the Year of the Pig, but the panda will always be a true symbol of China — word to Desiigner!

As adidas preps for the Chinese New Year alongside Pharrell, the Three Stripes is also gearing up for a full capsule collection arriving next week with Tokyo-based retailer have a good time.


Although the retailer is based in Japan and has a storefront on the L.E.S./Chinatown border in NYC, Argentina actually stands in as the main source of inspiration, at least in terms of the color theme seen throughout. The country’s national soccer team colors are used to create a range of pale blue sportswear, which includes tracksuits, jacquard sweaters, soccer jerseys and a half-zip windbreaker. Also included are two sneaker options, giving us new iterations of the Gazelle Super and Superstar. The former silhouette is the clear standout of the two, mainly because of its suede exterior and unique all-over print inner lining. We’re always a fan of collections that cover all the bases like this one, providing well-rounded style from head to toe, and this is a perfect capsule to start the new year off with.

Johannes Vermeer, Vincent Van Gogh and Leonardo da Vinci are some of the most revered names in both classical and contemporary art, and now they’re all being introduced to the world of streetwear thanks to a cool capsule collection put together by Japan-based clothier monkey time.



Focusing primarily on Da Vinci’s artworks “The Last Supper” and “Mona Lisa,” the latter also known by its French title “La Joconde” as illustrated here, Van Gogh’s “Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear and Pipe” and finally Vermeer’s “Girl With a Pearl Earring” (seen above), this small offering is the perfect way to tap into your artsy side. Each piece is imprinted on a series of sportswear staples, including hoodies and crewnecks, and also an Oxford shirt in case you have to get classy & shut down the The Louvre on some Bey and Jay shit — well, “APESHIT” that is. Other notable details include “Warning” sign motifs imprinted on some of the pieces, which are meant to reflect those museum policies that showcase “Do not use mobile phone,” “No Photo,” “Do not touch,” “Do not run” and “No Fires” insignia. Good luck with that last one, because this is definitely one capsule collection filled with a good amount of heat.
