As if Diddy wasn’t doing enough already, the Hip-Hop mogul is in talks to launch Revolt a new music telivision-network. According to BroadcastingCable Revolt “aims to launch urban-skewed music and music news network by the end of 2012.” This may pressure networks to begin focusing more on the music side of things moving away from the mid-2000’s “Reality TV” thinking..cough cough MTV. With F– USE along with Karmaloop who plans to launch a network themselves, we may be experiencing a music television revolution.

BC also reports “Former MTV programming chief Andy Schuon is involved with Revolt, according to sources. In 2006, Schuon headed up a music channel called International Music Feed (IMF), which was acquired by Ovation TV before being discontinued.” The network will be ushered in under Comcast to fulfill its agreement with the FCC providing cal opportunity in launching minority owned networks.
