Artist Takashi Murakami (who you may remember illustrated Kanye West’s Graduation Cover) will open Murakami—Ego at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar on February 9, featuring 60 works from 1997 to the present as well as new works created for this show. Included in the show is a giant blow up of the artist himself. This is Murakami’s first show in the Middle East and is being used by the Museum to promote a greater understanding and appreciation between cultures and promote the upcoming Qatar 2022 World Cup.
