What once was the highlight of All-Star weekend has soured a bit in 2012.
Following Blake Griffin’s kind-of-half jump a car in 2011, don’t expect to see im back around in 2012’s contest. ESPN’s Marc Stein has reported the NBA announced participants for this years contest as the following. New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert, Minnesota Timberwolves forward Derrick Williams, Houston Rockets forward Chase Budinger and Indiana Pacers forward Paul George.
Only thing that will raise an eyebrow or two is Jeremy Lin who is already enlisted to give Shumpert help when its bring-a-teammate round.
Theres plenty of time for the NBA to force Blake and LeBron head to head, but thats just a folktale that will never be written.
