The African American community will be tuned in tonight to the 43rd Annual NAACP Image Awards, where the famed civil rights organization celebrates the actors and actresses that are otherwise ignored by the mainstream award shows. It is the nation’s premier multi-cultural award show that recognizes those individuals and groups who promote social justice through their creative endeavors. The best and brightest in Black Hollywood will be featured on tonight’s broadcast hosted by Anthony Mackie and Sanaa Lathan.
The show will broadcast live on NBC at 8pm EST from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
