Wiz Khalifa at last delivers what is probably the most anticipated mixtape since Rozay’s Rich Forever, Taylor Allderdice. Since apologizing for delivering what many deemed a mainstream driven debut album, the Taylor Gang general drops most of the singing notes and makes a return to viable flows and hard hitting beats on his first offering of the New Year. Young Khalifa is again delivering the caliber of music seen on his acclaimed Kush & Orange Juice mixtape and recruits guests Rick Ross, Smoke Dza and of course TG members Juicy J. Chevy Woods and Lola Monroe. Production duties are handled expertly by the usually suspects, I.D. Labs, Cardo and Sledgren, along with Spaceghostpurp and Harry Fraud.
After hearing the tape a few weeks back at a listening in NYC, I can tell you that this body of work is full of bangers and will make many-a-wiz fan happy, especially those who were displeased with his Rolling Papers LP. Like smoking some good loud, the critics should sleep well after this one.
