Emily Berkey: You guys are currently on your reunion tour. Your reunion sparked rumors that you simply got together again to make sure that you were in the public eye and still relevant at the 25 year mark, which is when you qualify for induction into the Hall of Fame.

Bizzy Bone: Who told you that bullshit?

Emily Berkey: What’s up with that rumor?

Krayzie Bone: This is not any reunion tour. We’ve always been together, and we’re getting back together to do what we love to do. Recognizing we’ve been together for 20 years. We’re letting everyone know we’re the reason you’re hearing what you’re hearing on the radio.

Emily Berkey: So you don’t see it as a reunion tour?

Layzie Bone: No. But you are right about one aspect of it, because we are making a run for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We wanna have a choice to retire our musical brand at home in Cleveland at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, or keep it going on tour if we decide to go that way. But right now, we’re going for the 25 years.

Emily Berkey: Do you think that you would retire once you make it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

Wish Bone: No. We love it too much!

Layzie Bone: We’re gonna keep doing music. Music is our life.

Emily Berkey: If you were not on this tour right now, what would you be doing?

Flesh-N-Bone: Working in the studio, doing studio stuff or maybe TV stuff.

Bizzy Bone: It kind of makes sense for us too, because we’re have the record company that we were dealing with at the time, we are free to do what we wanna do. We want to build it and get the best possible deal that we could get – find a real cool home so we can really break out and let people know what’s going on with Bone ’cause there are so many executives asking, and we are such a tight knit organization that we want to keep it to ourselves and come back and let them know that despite everything else, we’re polished. Actions speak louder than words and from that point on, we’re going to reach out and start talking to people so they know we about our business. It’s like a trilateral effect with the 20 year reunion, recognizing who we are, brushing dust off our shoulders and whatnot, and what our goals and aims are, and also where we’re at as a group. So us touring, that’s how we do it. That’s our livelihood, on the road, with the people, as much as we can. 355 days out of the year.
