Continuing to build anticipation for his Def Jam debut, 2 Chainz has been keeping himself busy lately. In addition to being featured on our Source cover, the rapper formerly known as Tity Boi continues to be the most in-demand guest artist Hip-Hop has seen since Busta Rhymes in his prime. On Monday night, he spoke exclusively to thesource.com while at a taping for MTV’s new show “Hip Hop POV.”

“I just dropped ‘Riot,’ look out for the ‘Understatement’ video, be looking out for me and Kreayshawn’s video ‘Murder’ for my joint. And then I did one for her joint. The Nicki video (‘Beez In The Trap’) is out. Be looking out for the ‘Mercy’ video with me and G.O.O.D. Music,” 2 Chainz excitedly stated. The track which dropped last week, coupled with 2Chainz’s appearance on 106 with Kanye has everyone talking about whether Kanye will be taking 2 Chainz under the G.O.O.D. music umbrella.

The rapper was in town to perform on the new MTV show (he and Future will appear as performers on the first show, which airs midnight on Wednesday, April 11). After performing his hits “Spend It” and “Riot,” 2 Chainz wrapped up taping for the show and chopped it up with TheSource.com about appearing on the show. “It feels good to be the first person up there. Anything that happens in New York makes me feel like I’m broke through something because I’m a southern artist and to be accepted for something like this especially to be the first person makes me feel like were in a good situation for this album coming out.”
