The Golden Era of Hip Hop was resurrected last night at SOB’s “Class of 1990” show with Brand Nubian and X Clan sponsored by Positive Force and Lo Key Entertainment. All five boroughs, NJ, and CT were in the building for this epic event that showcased two of the most illustrious groups from the rap game’s most prolific period in time. Hosted by Channel Live’s Hakim Green, the Class of 1990 also featured some of underground Hip Hop’s best up and coming artists, including Sav Killz, April Love, Jasiri X, and and Erykah Badu’s group, GodsIlla

The celebrity guests that made their way to the Sounds Of Brazil for last night’s show included Rahiem from the legendary Furious Five, Cappadonna and Popa Wu of the Wu Tang Clan. The crowd of media, industry tastemakers, and Hip Hop heads was fully engaged in the energized performances, which itself was a throwback to how Hip Hop shows used to be. Brand Nubian headlined the show, dropping some of their classic hits including “Slow Down” and “One For All”, while Puba did his solo strut on joints like “What’s the 411?” and “Step To The Rear”.

Lo Key Entertainment already has another show on deck for May 4th at SOB’s, citing Rakim as the headliner for next week’s event.
