The NFL Pro Bowl has been well documented for its lack of competitiveness, which is the main reason NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had considered cancelling the all-star game. Now with a promise from the players the NFL will keep the Pro Bowl going at least one more year. According to ESPN, NFLPA president Domonique Foxworth has said that “the players believe that the Pro Bowl is an important tradition.” Though some of us as fans may not understand this because of the lacking competitive edge we see, but the Pro Bowl could be something special with a little bit more effort from the players. The Pro Bowl is still the number one all-star game in professional sports TV ratings wise as the 2012 Pro Bowl had 12.5 million viewers. The game is very far away and the season hasn’t even started yet, but for you NFL fans who need your fix of NFL news the Pro Bowl will be taking place in Hawaii at Aloha Stadium on January 27th.
