This past weekend, after Rakim’s performance with The Roots for their Roots Picnic 2012 event in Philadelphia, he told AllHipHop that there’s been talk about re-releasing the classic album Paid In Full. On July 7, 1987 Eric B. and Rakim released the original classic, featuring hits like, “Eric B. Is President,” “I Ain’t No Joke,” “I Know You Got Soul,” “Move the Crowd” and the title track, “Paid in Full.”
“We got the 25th anniversary of the Paid in Full album we about to release as well,” the ‘God MC’ told the hip-hop website. “It’s going to be a couple of new treats on that.”
Although, there is no date scheduled for the release of this project, Rakim is working on the release of his solo album, that remains untitled until further notice.
