The Source Magazine was on the red carpet for th 2012 Tony Awards in New York City. ‘Porgy and Bess’ recieved the most Tony Award nominations for a revival this year including: Best Revival of a Musical, Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical: Norm Lewis, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical: Audra McDonald, Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical: Phillip Boykin, Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical: David Alan Grier, Best Direction of a Musical: Diane Paulus, Best Orchestrations: William David Brohn and Christopher Jahnke, Best Costume Design of a Musical: ESosa, Best Lighting Design of a Musical: Christopher Akerlind and Best Sound Design of a Musical: Acme Sound Partners.
