A judge in Florida set a new bond for George Zimmerman – a man charged with murder in the February shooting death of unarmed Florida teenager Trayvon Martin – at $1 million on Thursday.

It was unclear how quickly Zimmerman could post the bond and be released from jail. His attorney argued that Zimmerman should not be jailed because the state’s case is weak and his claim of self-defense is strong.

The prosecution and seekers of justice for Martin feel that because his initial bond was revoked for giving false information to the court that he right to be released on bond should not be offered by the court.
