Hopefully the Dwight Howard trade saga is nearing its end as talks between the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Lakers heat up. The Magic previously stated they were halting trade talks and focusing on the new head coach search as talks broke off with the Brooklyn Nets. Surprisingly they’ve reignited talks and they appear to be getting serious with the Lakers. The Lakers have set up a face-to-face meeting with the Magic to further discuss the trade and ensure a contract extension commitment from Dwight Howard. No such meeting has been scheduled with the Houston Rockets who have also been pretty persistent in the pursuit of Howard.

If the trade goes through it would be huge for the Lakers and makes the 2012-13 season that much more interesting.
