Taxes have to be a rappers worst enemy. We have heard of several cases in the past and and as of recently on artist who have not paid their taxes. Not only do rappers go thru this, but am sure you have heard of actors, actresses, athletes and even more celebrities that go thru this. Today we give you some of the names in Hip Hop that are going thru this situation or have gone thru it.

Young Buck


Former G-Unit member Young Buck’s home was raided over $300k Tax Bill. Later this month the IRS will auction off thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, art, and recording equipment seized from his home. Unfortunately for Young Buck he was sentenced to 3 years but will spend 18 months in federal prison for two counts of weapons possession.


 

Beanie Sigel

 

The broad street bully was sentenced earlier this week to prison.  From 2003 through 2005, Sigel failed to pay more than 348,000 in taxes, prosecutors said. The U.S. District has ordered Beanie to report to prison on Sept. 12th. We wish Beanie all the best of luck during these times.

 

 

Bubba Sparxxx

 

According to documents filed in Georgia, Bubba owes $29,266.88 in back taxes from the year 2006. Originally the debt was of $15k but the interest doubled his debt. The State of Georgia is now getting Bubba’s wages through BMI, but theres still a lot to resolve for Bow. Best of luck to him.

 

  

 

Lauryn Hill pleaded guilty Friday to not paying federal taxes on more than $1.5 million earned over three years. Hill admitted to failing to file tax returns from 2005 to 2007. She faces a maximum one-year sentence on each of the three counts. 

 

 

 

 

Bow Wow

 

A tax lien was filed on January 9th of this year, in Georgia against Bow Wow, who owes $15,279 for unpaid taxes from 2008 and another $19,700.91 from 2010. In sum Bow Wow owes $126,086.14. We wish Bow Wow all the luck trying to resolve this situation. 

 

 

Ja Rule 

 

Ja Rule pled guilty to tax evasion. The Queens native failed to pay taxes on more than $3 million in income he earned between 2004 and 2006. Ja was sentenced to 28months in prison for failing to file tax returns. He is currently locked up for his plea deal in how 2007 arrest for possessing an illegal handgun.
