Dwight Howard and The Los Angeles Lakers are finally on the same page and it looks like there will be a new center in town. Howard has been under the Laker radar for quite some time now but would not agree to sign a long term contract with their franchise which is why the front office was reluctant to finalize any deals with him. The Lakers did not want to sign Howard for a short period of time in exchange for their current center, Andrew Bynum.

Howard initially wanted to take his talents to Brooklyn and play alongside Deron Williams and Joe Johnson but according to sources, he changed his mind after spending time in LA and getting a feel for the city.

“The Lakers are reportedly ready to make the trade, but first need assurance from Howard that he will commit to the team long-term. Sources say Howard is “excited” about the opportunity to play for the Lakers and will re-sign with the team when his contract expires at the end of the 2012-13 season”

It seems as though one hurdle was cleared, the next concern is, Dwight Howard’s back. Howard recently had surgery and because of it, other teams that were once interested in the 6’11 center, are now nervous to lay any deals on the table.

  • Thanks , I’ve just been looking for information about this subject for ages and yours is the greatest I have discovered so far. However, what about the bottom line? Are you certain about the supply?|What i do not realize is if truth be told how you are no longer actually much more neatly-liked than you might be right now. You’re so intelligent.
