Last night at the Microsoft store in Buckhead, AtlantaThe Source held an exclusive VIP dinner for its 15th annual Power 30 list, sponsored by Microsoft Store, Monster Cable, Remy Martin V, The Gray Area and Real Recognize. Celebrities, executives, radio personalities, and other notables in the Hip-Hop space, attended a private dinner, which was followed by a reception held upstairs at the store. At the event, The Source presented a plaque to the Def Jam label, who achieved the number 1 spot on the list for 2012. Def Jam President Joie Manda, Senior Vice President Shawn “Pecas” Costner, Vice President of Marketing Chris Atlas McDaniel and Vice President of A&R Sha Money XL were all on hand to accept on behalf of Def Jam.

Warner Bros. recording artist Waka Flocka, songwriter extraordinaire Rico Love, Diamond, Mizay Entertainment CEO Debra Antney, Primary Violator’s Michael “Blu” Williams, Glu Agency’s Derek Jackson, TDE’s President Punch were all in attendance at the event, and all toasted to each other’s achievements.

Later in the evening, Bad Boy recording artist MGK stopped by to perform, but his lively performance had to be cut short after he refused to come down off the computer tables.
