Coming from the notrious football factory known as the U (University of Miami), Ray Lewis has spent his last 17 years in the NFL and today he told his teammates this will be his last ride. Whether the Ravens exit the playoffs or they win the Super Bowl the NFL will not have Ray Lewis in it next season. The NFL will never see another Ray Lewis between the inspirational speeches and the on the field effort he is a once in a lifetime player.

Lewis’ accolades include being in a class of four people having at least 25 sacks and 30 interceptions (Lewis has 41.5 sacks and 31 interceptions). His other accolades include;

-7 times First Team All-Pro

-3 times Second Team All-Pro

-Champion and MVP of Super Bowl XXXV

-2 time NFL Defensive Player of The Year

-3 time AFC Defensive Player of The Year

-Only member of the 40 sack/30 interception club

Lewis will also be a first ballot Hall Of Famer when eligible meaning fans can get excited for what will most likely be a memorable Hall Of Fame Speech. It’s not a goodbye yet, but when it happens where will Ray Lewis stand amongst greatest defensive players? The Ravens take on the Colts on January 6th at 1 PM in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
