It looks like NBA basketball may be returning to Seattle.
An investor by the name of Chris Hansen has contacted the Maloof family who own the Sacramento Kings about purchasing the team. The Kings move has been talked about for a time now but with no certain desitnation. Grant it this is far from being official but it seems very likely as the people have Seattle have been longing for a basketball team since they lost their beloved Sonics to Oklahoma City.
The move of Sacramento seems inevitable for the Kings as the Maloof family has yet to reach an arena agreement. Hansen is expected to invest in a new arena that would be placed near Safeco Field and CenturyLink Field. This would be great for the city of Seattle, and terrible for Sacremento as the Kings have their own place in the history of the NBA. The new stadium is hopeful to home a new NHL expansion team in the future as well.
Once again nothing is official about this move as the Maloof family are still unsure if they want to sell the Kings.
