Lance Armstrong has officially admitted to doping during an interview with Oprah yesterday. He admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs to win the Tour de France, confirming the International Cycling Union’s decision in October to strip him of his titles due to such allegations.

The interview is to be aired as two different installments, with its first installment being aired on Thursday on OWN, Oprah Winfrey’s Network. Oprah made an appearance on CBS This Morning today to speak on the interview. Herself and Armstrong had agreed to not speak on the issue until after the interview aired, but the news spread too quickly for their agreement to stick.

Apparently, Lance did not outright admit to the allegations, however, according to Oprah, she was “satisfied by the answers.”

Lance Armstrong before the interview appeared at his Livestrong charity in which he founded, apologizing tearfully in regards to the entire situation. Shortly after Armstrong was interviewed by Oprah and spoke about it.

Oprah came forth this morning to make clear that she was speaking of it on CBS because it was already confirmed yesterday by the time she landed back in Chicago. Had that not occurred, the news would not have been released until the interview officially aired.

Oprah Winfrey said, “I don’t think ’emotional’ begins to describe the intensity or the difficult he experienced in talking about some of these things.”

The confession comes forth after years of Lance Armstrong denying such allegations. After such news being brought upon us, more people are becoming increasingly interested in watching the interview to see what Lance exactly said to Oprah, which confirmed the allegations to be true.
