The Source Magazine caught up with singer, actress and social media correspondent for NBC’s “The Voice” Christina Milian, at 404 NYC yesterday for P&G’s Orgullosa “Skirts Only” Fashion Show. Milian, who was recently signed to Cash Money records by Lil Wayne, had nothing but love for him. She told TheSource.com exclusively, “I’m really happy that Wayne is ok, I think we were all worried, but you know he’s a boss, he’s a strong guy and I think there’s lots of different rumors going out, I’m just happy he’s ok.”

Milian’s new song with DJ duo the Stafford Brothers, is blowing up in Australia and it features Lil Wayne, of course. She says the video is coming soon. She told us about working on that track and gave us an update on her new album. Last, but not least, her show The Voice has its season premiere on Monday March 25th. She spoke about what it’s like to have Usher and Shakira on set as mentors. Check out our video interview with Christina below:

Yesterday, P&G and its Orgullosa program rolled out the red carpet to celebrate a “skirts only” fashion show to not only showcase how the Latina community is made up of mujeres con la falda bien puesta, (which translates to “women who have their skirts well placed”) but to represent a “stage” where it will continue to inspire Latinas to celebrate their cultural heritage, while empowering them to reach for their personal life goals through a virtual community called Orgullosa (translation for proud). Milian joined Orgullosa ambassadors, and Board of Faldas (skirts), Evette Rios, lifestyle guru and co-host of The Chew; Maria Marin, international motivational speaker; and Maribel Lieberman, entrepreneur and chocolatier, as they modeled skirts made exclusively by Latina fashion designer, CENIA Paredes.
