Atlanta bound…
The first team to book their tickets to Atlanta were the Syracuse Orange who make the Final Four for the first time in a decade. The last time the Oragne made the Final Four they won the title powered by Carmelo Anthony.
Second was the #9 seeded Wichita State Shockers who have seemingly shocked the world defeating the #1 and #2 seeds on their way to the Final Four. This is the first time an Missouri Valley Conference team has made the Final Four since Larry Bird suited up for Indiana State.
Third were the Michigan Wolverines who rolled over the Florida Gators with ease. Michigan reaches the Final Four for the first time since the Fab 5 took the court for the Big Ten program.
And finally the Louisville Cardinals advanced to the Final Four for the second year in a row. After Kevin Ware went down with one of the most gruesome sports injuries. the Cardinals played inspired and ultimately defeated the Duke Blue Devils.
Syracuse will take on Michigan while Wichita State will seek to continue their cinderella run against Louisville. Action picks up next week the Final Four games on Saturday and the National Championship game taking place on Monday night.
