Yankee fans are just going to have to wait a little bit longer for their beloved shortstop to return to action. Derek Jeter has suffered another setback and isn’t expected to return until after the MLB All-Star Break.

Jeter hasn’t played since Game 1 of last season’s ALCS when the Yankees played the Tigers. The goal for Jeter was to make it back in time for Opening Day, which didn’t happen. Now a CT Scan shows that Jeter has a small in the area of the original ankle injury.

For the Yankees this isn’t all bad news because the injury doesn’t require anymore surgery. Though it’s still early in the season the Yankees are currently sitting in second in the AL East at 8-5.
