Uncle Luke partners with b condoms in support of safe sex
The former 2 Live Crew frontman and Miami Bass colonel is teaming up with ‘b condoms’, the only African American owned condom company, in the efforts to promote safe sex in Miami’s underprivileged neighborhoods. The efforts are being made to combat the unfortunate outbreaks of HIV/AIDS, teen pregnancy, and other sexually transmitted infections throughout the impoverished communities.
Luke’s known for his sexually explicit lyrics and his brief run in the adult entertainment industry. Currently, he serves as an activist as he spreads knowledge and awareness in Dade County communities. Many are not aware of Luke Campbell’s efforts outside of South Florida, but the deal with b condoms should shed light on Uncle Luke’s big heart and his desire to see change for the betterment of young people in his beloved hometown.
Reginald Thornton, Director of Marketing for b condoms comments on the partnership saying, “Mr. Campbell is an iconic figure for his contributions to music, sports and at-risk youth and we believe this partnership provides a unique opportunity to extend his impact to community health.”
Jump starting the efforts is the donation of 5,000 Platinum XL b condoms to a Miami, Fl area non-profit organization this summer. He will also donate another 1,000 Platinum XL b condoms through “Let The Runway Meet the Cause” to Empower U, a private, not-for-profit, minority peer-based and managed organization founded by and for people living with HIV/AIDS.
