For every few days that Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj get along as judges on American Idol, they both fall victim to another round of a classic petty cat-fight. And again, it’s all been televised for our viewing pleasure.
If you weren’t watching the Celtics deliver a second comeback win towards the Knicks, last night on AI, the two ladies exchanged some sassy words that revolved around longevity and an ear for talent. While disagreeing on Angie Miller’s performance, Minaj told Carey to clean her ears as she conveniently pulled out a cotton swab, and minutes later, Carey argued the fact that due to having a certain number of Billboard #1 hits makes one a better judge of good music. Ouch!
And the feud continued online with Minaj taunting Carey of accusations of insecurity, labeled her as “bitter”, and even touched upon those fuzzy details of Jennifer Lopez replacing her on Idol. Nicki tweeted: “All dem #1s but J.Lo phone ringin?” Double ouch! Maybe Nicki didn’t get the memo that Lopez is just performing not replacing Carey this season.
