After the concept album The Album did not sit well with fans, no one could foretell their future. They had high expectations before the album due to their sound. Their exodus came the following year with Nas, AZ, and Foxy launching their solo careers and [sidebar] Nature will forever be known for replacing Cormega. It was speculated that Nas was already seeking stardom beforehand, maybe he saw something we all didn’t at the time. Despite the let down, The Firm provided us with memorable music.
