NWA & Ice Cube

The gangsta rap elites, the ones that made sunny Southern California a kin to Elm street couldn’t get out of each other’s way. When Ice Cube left N.W.A. in 1989 over disputes about royalties and tensions with manager Jerry Heller it was surprising to many. It sparked a feud between himself, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E, who accused him of being a coward and gave him the nickname “Benedict Arnold.” The displeasure between the three who were once homies continued until Eazy’s death in 1995.
