Despite Mariah Carey having reached out to Nicki Minaj early in her world domination of hip-hop singles and attention-grabbing cameos (for Carey’s “Up Out My Face (Remix)”), the two went from being cordial to definite enemies since judging together on season 12 of American Idol.
Though Minaj has been combative towards the songbird icon live on air, in an interview with E! News, the only female rapper on Forbes‘ Hip-Hop Cash Kings list expressed disappointment over her relationship with Carey, whom prior she had considered “a friend”.
