Catch a viewing in Harlem next week!
The compelling documentary, “Free Angela and All Political Prisoners” will return to Harlem on Thursday, May 23rd at AMC Magic Johnson Theater, at 7:30 pm. The film chronicles political activist Angela Davis’s life and how her activism for equality and against racism implicated her in a kidnapping attempt that ended with a violent shootout with four dead and her name on the FBI’s Most Wanted list. Forty years later, the iconic Angela Davis speaks candidly about her activism, how she was branded as a terrorist, as well as the worldwide political movement that arose for her freedom.
