Juicy J & A$AP Ferg continued their ‘Stay Trippy’ tour in NYC at Irving Plaza.
Last night, Juicy J and opener A$AP Ferg performed at Irving Plaza for their latest stop on their ‘Stay Trippy’ tour. The tour coincides with Juicy prepping for the release of his upcoming solo album titled ‘Stay Trippy’ which is due out July 2nd.
A$AP Ferg has been recently quoted for saying that he and Juicy J “compliment each other” and after last night’s successful show, there is validity in the statement. The duo shut down Irving Plaza with two strong sets that had everyone on another level. The sold out venue was packed full of fans ready to get ‘trippy’ on good music and alcohol, as well as some extracurriculars.
From an invasion of the A$AP Mob to intimate female fan interaction, TheSource.com brings you five things you can expect from a ‘Stay Trippy’ show.
1. A$AP Invasion
A$AP Ferg maintained a dominant presence during his set and had the entire crowd turned way up. When one A$AP member is around, you can always expect the ‘Mob’ to be nearby and this was most definitely the case at last nights show. A$AP Rocky was seen up in VIP during the show supporting his A$AP fam. During his set Ferg had his crew come out to perform and before wrapping up the night, Pretty Flacko A$AP Rocky joined the mob for Ferg’s hit “Work.”
2. Crowd Surfing
One thing you can definitely count on when the A$AP mob is in town is a whole lot of crowd surfing. The crew spent the majority of the night interacting with the crowd and sporadically jumping into the sea of fans. If you plan to attend a ‘Stay Trippy’ show, bring an umbrella because there’s a high chance of A$AP rain.
3. Moshing
What do you do if you find yourself in the middle of a crowd and the music has everyone turnt up? Mosh. During both sets last night, fans were too amped to stay calm and through the sea of people mosh pits were formed. Everything seemed to be in good spirit but if slamming into intoxicated, sweaty strangers isn’t your thing…steer clear.
4. Classic Throwbacks
Fans were definitely in for a treat last night as Juicy J had a few tricks up his sleeve before nearing the end of his show. During his time as part of the group Three 6 Mafia, Juicy J had hit singles for days and when he took the time to reflect on those tracks, the crowd went nuts. From “Stay Fly” to “Poppin’ My Collar,” J made sure to entertain his longtime fans with some classic throwbacks.
5. Female Fans Taking Over The Stage
During both A$AP Ferg and Juicy J’s sets there were female fans eager to get on stage to party with their favorite artists. A group of girls came on stage during A$AP Ferg’s show and danced away as the ‘Mob’ cheerfully watched on. As the night progressed, Juicy J invited a female fan to the stage and slow danced with her for his track “One Of Those Nights” featuring The Weeknd. Things got intimate quickly as the two locked lips and groped each other on stage. Fathers, don’t take your daughter to this show as a birthday present.
