Miguel caught worldwide attention last night with his infamous leg drop at the Billboard Music Awards. Shortly after the incident, social media was flooded with funny ass memes of Miguel doing the leg drop from the top turnbuckle of a wrestling ring. Social media goers even went as far as to compare the R&B singers leg drop to the one made famous by the OG of wrestling, Hulk Hogan.The tweets were definitely out of hand, but all in good jokes, and the best thing about it was that the fan on the other end of that leg drop was OK after the incident.
This was definitely a mishap on Miguel’s behalf, but you gotta give credit to the R&B crooner for continuing on with his performance and finishing strong. In honor of Miguel’s wrestling antics during his set, we look back at some of the wrestlers, who probably inspired Miguel’s ferocious leg drop.
