One of the first tangible signs that we were definitely getting new music from Kanye was given to us from an unlikely-but-then-again-not-so-unlikely suspect, one-half of the TNGHT production team, Hudson Mohawke. Mohawke worked on 4 tracks on Cruel Summer, including being the lead producer on “Bliss”, which featured both Teyana Taylor and John Legend. Lately, his solo career has taken off, alongside the other half of the TNGHT duo, Lunice, and at numerous shows he previewed Yeezus music for the masses. Though the previews were very obscure, what this did was build anticipation among TNGHT’s ever growing fan base before Kanye even said a word. And we’re not talking about trending tweets, the “Higher Ground” duo’s reach is global.
