The California based clothing brand joins forces with the Rap legend yet again.
Just last summer, Akomplice released a video promoting the “Pelican Belt”, the project has finally come to life. This is the second time the two have come together in a collaborative effort to produce limited edition pieces. Akomplice released a t-shirt in collaboration with street-wear retailer Tradition and Raekwon in 2008, which had plenty of success due to its exclusivity.
Do note, Raekwon has collaborated with street-wear’s elite, brands such as Supreme, Diamond Supply Co., and Alife in the past. Since 2008, Akomplice has tended to their relationship with Wu-Tang’s head chef. The Pelican Belt is the first of its kind, fashioned after a fish hook with premium black and brown leather and an embossed brass buckle with Raekwon and Akomplice’s signature logos. The belt will come complete with a wooden cigar box, commemorating Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx album series.
The piece will be a hot commodity coming in only 25 pieces. Look out for it this Saturday, June 1st on the Akomplice online store.
