Japanese toy company and pop culture mainstay teams up with Uniqlo for Summer 2013.
In partnership to create a special capsule collection, Japanese powerhouses Uniqlo and Medicom come together to bring you limited edition t-shirts with the bearbrick toy line jumping into the mix. Uniqlo will release 9 different tees styled with designs from the bearbrick line. When consumers purchase more than two shirts they will be given a free bearbrick caricature, not a bad deal.
Bearbricks have long been collectible toys, coming in different sizes, in collaboration with different brands, and available as a blank canvas – giving any designers and illustrators a chance to get creative. Throughout Medicom’s celebrated history, artists from all corners of the world have collaborated with the company in efforts to create beautifully crafted pieces in the name of art and fun. Graffiti artist Stash and well known fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfeld and Vivienne Westwood have helped design special edition bearbricks.
Keep an eye out for the release of this collaboration hitting Uniqlo retail stores on June 10th.
