Beyonce displays her star power settling her $100 million lawsuit.
With a lawsuit dating back to 2011, Beyonce finally settled the dispute with video game company Gate Five. The lawsuit stems from Beyonce backing out of a deal for a dance game entitled “Starpower: Beyonce,” which failed to launch leaving the millions invested by the company unaccounted for.
Gate Five claimed due to Beyonce backing out, the company lost $7 million and 70 people lost their jobs.
Beyonce’s lawyer defended her actions by stating she was within her rights in doing so because Gate Five didn’t have needed financing.
According to court records, Gate Five and Bey have both agreed to drop the charges, but the specifics of settlement have yet and are unlikely to be revealed.
