Tupac’s music is still making a huge impact on the music industry and  is not on its way to a Broadway stage.

The Kenny Leon directed musical “Holler If Ya Hear Me,” is named after one of the late rapper’s tracks.  Although it’s not about Pac’s life, the Broadway will feature a huge body of his work.

The story is actually based on a book written by Todd Kreidler that follows a fictional story set in a Midwestern industry city where two childhood friends struggle to meet their dreams in the midst of tough times.

Shakur’s mother, Afeni Shakur, has approved for the music to be used and will actually be producing the musical. Tony Award-winner Wayne Cilento will be the choreographer.

“Holler If Ya Hear Me,” the musical is set for Broadway for 2013-2014 season.
