On Tuesday, DC rapper Wale dropped his 3rd studio album, The Gifted.

The documentary tells the story of Wale. It opens with his peers and industry heads, including MMG Founder Rick Ross, weighing in on his talent.
“Once I got in the studio with him the first time and we recorded 3 or 4 records that night, I knew that he was a prolific writer,” says Ross.
After the brief commentary, which continues throughout, Wale walks us through his life growing up in DC.
The Gifted goes on to discuss Wale’s use of Go-Go and its influence on hip-hop, his inclusion of the sneaker culture into his music & more.
