4. King Remembered In Time
Big K.R.I.T.
(Cinematic)
There are some that will argue that Big K.R.I.T. has at least two classic projects under his belt. While its unfortunate that one of them wasn’t formal introduction to the world (Live From The Underground) his knack for putting together amazingly coherent mixtapes—which are really free albums—is undeniable. From his scaringly accurate commentary on “Banana Clip Theory”, to the infectious Bun-B assisted “Shine On”, the king remembered in time has proved that he will eventually be just that. While most people point to 2 Chainz, Trinidad James & B.o.B. to carry the torch for the south as they begin to make their official departure from the Outkast era, while paying homage to Andre & Big Boi, K.R.I.T. manages to carve out his very own unique lane in a region dominated by repetition.
